This year on the first Saturday of each month I'll be sharing with you the assortment of bloodthirsty felines who grace the 2014 calendar called Vampire Kitties. I got this for Joe as a gag Christmas gift because of his obsession with making kitten jokes. (Don't go there, my friends.)
Each photo is labeled Class of 2014 at the top, but cut off for the first few months because in order to get a good photo I needed to flatten the calendar with a heavy book. Below each frightful portrait is the kitten's "vampire name" (just like show dogs and show cats entered in competition) followed by some poetic vampire prose.
Without further ado --
Presenting Lady of the Darfness...uh, make that Darkness.
Kitten Name: Mittens
Vampire Name: Lady of the Darkness
"Sated from her midnight lust for blood, she awaits the dawn
that will again transform her from evil to innocent."
Did You Know?
Australia Day will be observed on January 27. Is that their equivalent of July 4?
Full moon on January 15. Lock up your puppies!
This will be Year of the Horse for those who celebrate all things Chinese on January 31.
(Thanks to Kelly Robinson at Book Dirt for making me aware of this monstrous and perverse creation.)
